HEPA Filters For Mold Cleanup
What is a HEPA Filter?
The HEPA filter or High Efficiency Particulate Arresting Filter is used on mold remediation jobs because they can remove particles as small as 0.3 microns. That is a really small particle. The average human hair is 10 microns in diameter. Mold spores are removed from the air and new air is introduced to the room as seen in the first picture.
The same HEPA filters are used on the masks of our technicians to keep them from breathing in the spores and mycotoxins that are spread by mold growth.
