What to do after a broken pipe.

First, turn off the water to the building. Some people may have to be without water for a time but it is better than the alternative. Then, call a mitigation company. The goal of mitigation is to remove the water and start the drying process to lessen the damage and prevent mold growth. Also be sure to call a plumber.  Repairing the broken pipe right away allow water to you and our family. Next, call the insurance company. Insurance want to know that action is being taken to lessen the cost.
